We at the Long Island Chapter of Parents of Murdered Children, Inc. have been closely supportive of the re-opening of the investigation of the wrongful death of Christopher O'Connor, who was savagely beaten at the L'Amour East nightclub on April 11, 1987.

After reviewing the documentation supplied by the O'Connor family and friends in connection with their request for a special prosecutor, we are certain you will agree that this situation is most unusual and requires immediate State attention and intervention. To that end, we are hopeful that the case will be afforded the attention and review it so desperately needs.
